Savi the Cat

When a devoted Kenyan husband surprises his new African-American wife with an adorable kitten, neither are prepared for the destruction it wields upon their home, their life, and ultimately, their marriage.

The Invitation

In 1946, two Philadelphia women decided to do something about the conditions in their community. African Americans weren’t readily able to vote, access equal education or enjoy fair treatment in their everyday lives. The women formed a group of friends who gave service to those who needed it most. Seventy-five years later, The Links, Inc. has grown into an international philanthropic entity with 16,000 members whose ages range from 21 to more than 100 and whose members include college presidents, medical doctors, business leaders, members of Congress and even the Vice President of the United States.
