synopsis

When his friend goes missing in the summer of 1989, Jimmy learns that the Island isn't the only thing that's changing. "The Island," based on a true story from the enigmatic community of Roosevelt Island, NYC, takes its viewers on a journey through time.

Aimée Schaefer is a New Mexican film director, documentarian and screenwriter who attended the University of New Mexico and received a BFA in Cinematic Arts then began working in the film industry journeying across the US and Mexico directing and assisting filmmakers in various capacities for over twelve years.
