Sandra Zebi

Sandra Zebi is an artist from Sao Paulo, Brazil and came to Los Angeles in 1986, intrigued and inspired by the cultural diversity that the city has to offer.

She began her career as a ceramist and now works with various medias including acrylic paintings, digital art, and mixed media. Zebi’s art has its own style made up of cheerful and graceful images with distinct and vibrant colors, used to convey positive messages and spread her Brazilian culture. Her creativity has gained recognition and admiration throughout the community and abroad through her public sculptures and murals.

Zebi is a strong believer in “less is more” and expresses that in her art.

Marvin Obasogie Aimiuwu (MOA)

MOA started drawing and painting as a child in Nigeria, studied fine art in college, and has pursued artwork full time since coming to the United States.

MOA works with various media including his own batik dye process that incorporates original motifs, custom designs, and uses rich, bold, vivid colors. Many of his works of art include hand-carved and crafted frames he’s custom designed often incorporating recycled and reclaimed materials. MOA says he wants to create artwork that is universal and can be appreciated by all.

MOA Fine Art contributes a portion of all sales to charitable organizations.

Aziz Diagne

Aziz Diagne is a multi-media artist from Senegal, West Africa. He grew up amid the traditional art forms of his homeland including rock carving, ceramic and wood sculpture, murals, tapestry, and Thiesoise (reverse painting on glass). Aziz, a self-taught painter, through his unique and dynamic talents, quickly established himself as one of the premier contemporary glass painters. Before coming to the United States, he pursued art for several years in neighboring countries Mauritania and Morocco. Aziz traveled extensively throughout Africa, Europe, and South America, absorbing the art and cultures of diverse environments. These experiences have greatly enhanced the artist’s seemingly limitless repertoire and creative energy.

Charles A. Bibbs

A native son of Sothern California, Charles Bibbs is an internationally acclaimed artist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who has made a significant impact on contemporary arts.

Bibbs is known for his beautiful artistic renderings of spirituality, majesty, dignity, strength, and grace. His work displays a unique, robust, and stylized quality done in a combination of abstract motifs, patterns, and realistic interpretations of contemporary subjects fused into beautiful, multifaceted ethnicity, larger-than-life images. His technique and style are distinguished from most artists by using layers of acrylic paints and inks to obtain rich undertones of line textures.

PAFF ARTFEST DIRECTOR & CURATOR

Allohn Agbenya

Allohn Agbenya is a contemporary artist whose roots celebrate the fibers and cultural pride of West Africa and beyond! Born in Ghana, Agbenya now resides in Los Angeles and is the Production Designer for PAFF as well as the Director/Curator for the ARTFEST.

Agbenya studied Catholic sanctuary art which consisted of sculpture, stained glass, and altar design as well as textile design and contemporary art. He was commissioned by the Catholic Church to create sculptures and stained glass windows for churches in Benin, Togo, and Ghana. Currently, his unique textile designs are featured in wearable art, interior design, and home furnishings.
Although his African roots play a major role in his creative schemes, he considers himself to be a 21st-century contemporary artist. His landscapes of colorful patterns and unique techniques create diverse universal esthetics, with a pleasurable fondness to the curious eye. Agbenya’s clients love to engage him in conversations about the historical application and inspiration that is so relevant in his art.
